Zoya PixieDust Spring 2013 Swatches

Zoya PixieDust Collection- * $9.00 each or $54.00 for whole collection

New to the nail polish world is a new sand like texture, with no topcoat needed these polishes give you glittery sand like looks. I love the colors that Zoya put out for spring, nice light pastel and neutral colors. I like the texture a lot, some might not like that gritty feeling but they really do look gorgeous. I have been wearing London on my nails since Monday and have had no chipping at all. They say not to use a topcoat with these because it will disrupt the texture look.

Removal isn't too bad, just like any other glitter these will take a bit of time taking them off. If you do however want a topcoat, I suggest using a few coats to completely cover the gritty feeling.

Please excuse my nail polish skills in the first three swatches, my super short nails makes it a little difficult to be perfect! But the last three are on my sisters gorgeous nails!

The next three swatches are on my sister's nails. I was using her as a hand model all day till she got tired of rubbing her nail polish off lol.

Make Up For Ever Technicolor Palette Review & Swatches

MUFE Techicolor Palette*-$45.00

New for Spring 2013 from Make Up For Ever is the Techicolor Palette press release here

When someone says spring colors you are probably thinking pastels but Make Up For Ever decided to go bright for Spring. I love this palette it has three bright shades and five classic shades, all with great pigmentation. I really am liking the size of the palette, it easily fits in your makeup bag or purse, while most palettes have to stay at home because of their size. Using these colors with the Aqua Eyes Collection will be perfect!

Don't be intimidated by the bright and bold colors, they apply a lot more subtle but can be layered for a bolder look.

I swatched these twice, once so you can see how light they apply and the second you can see how build able they are for a more intense look.

This palette comes with two eye brushes as well.

Pureology: Reviving Red Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Reviving Red Shamp'oil*-$29.00 (8.5oz)
Reviving Red Condition*-$29.00 (8.5oz)

What they say:

Reviving Red Shamp'oil

Maintains vibrancy and replenishes hair
Delivers 4x the active ingredients to help replenish the protective lipid layer and seal the cuticle
Nourishes damaged hair

Reviving Reflective Condioner

Detangles and helps restore hair
Helps fight oxidation and fading
Seals and anchors vivid pigments into the hair
Keeps hair and haircolour in optimum condition

With my newly red hair this was perfect for me to try! Everyone knows red is a pain in the butt but it's so darn gorgeous! A lot of my clients won't even touch red because of how quickly it fades. Using this shampoo for the past couple weeks has extended the color of my hair. Using this and the weekly treatments (review soon) my hair looks freshly died and vibrant.

I really like the consistency of the shampoo I've never really experienced anything like it. It is very gel like and lathers so well. A little goes a long way, even with those with long hair like mine. We always think we need a handful of shampoo, not the case here. The conditioner is really good at detangling. My hair is so long it gets really tangled, I always have to spend a lot of time working the conditioner through. Once I apply it it immediately starts breaking down my tangles and leaves my hair feeling like butter!

Overall, I am very impressed with Redken, although they never disappoint,  this product really helps me between hair dyes.

Aveeno Clear Complexion BB Cream Review & Photos

Aveeno Clear Complexion BB Cream*- 14.99-16.99

It's no secret that Aveeno is my all time favorite brand, from adult products to baby products my whole family uses it. When I found out about their new BB cream I was so thrilled! Aveeno's skin care products do wonders for my face as it is. And with my obsession for BB Creams I was excited to try this.

                                                      What they say:
    Nourishes corrects, and protects

Oil-free formulas moisturize without clogging pores

Natural minerals instantly conceal, even and brighten complexion

ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex helps fade the look of marks  from past breakouts

Broad Spectrum SPF 30 helps prevent skin from future damage
    Oil free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic

This BB  Cream is in the shade fair to light and disperses through a pump. I would say this can be used as a light or medium coverage. The product is very buildable without feeling heavy or thick. The feeling it leaves on your skin is  velvety smooth and semi matte. It isn't matte to the point of dryness or a cakey look. All I can say is how smooth and silky the feeling is. I love that it color corrects your skin tone also, brightening up your face. One of my favorite things is that I feel it does a really great job and covering up my pores, that is my biggest issue on my face.

Overall I am very satisfied with this BB Cream, having only one shade might be a bummer to some but I'm sure soon more shades will be available.

Available now at most food and drugstores

    Weekly Randoms

These are my favorite weekly pictures taken this week. I think this is a super fun post and I am going to do it weekly. I got the idea from Emily at Cupcakes and Cashmere. She does kind of the same thing where she posts 5 pictures ("5 Things") and writes a brief blurb about them.

My favorite smelling candle over the winter but I still can't stop burning it!

Getting ready to make a phone case. Just a few things I use to make them. Etsy shop here

My sisters dog is the cutest puppy ever! He hated my camera so this was the only way to take a picture of him!
Trying to figure out a way to organize the hundreds of polishes I have. For now they sit on my desk in my office.

Anastasia Bold & Beautiful Kit Review and Swatches

     Anastasia Bold& Beautiful Kit*-$36.00

"This duo features two separate palettes for grooming and perfecting the brows, and creating a flattering, sultry eye. Bold Brows contains brow powder, pomade, mini duo brush, and mini tweezers that allow you to sculpt, define, and beautifully layer color for perfect brows. Beautiful Eyes includes four matte and shimmering shadows in versatile neutrals and warm hues—the perfect shades to finish any look. Layer them wet or dry to create anything from a subtle, sheer wash of color to an intense, nude smoky eye."
    Quoted from the Sephora website

Anastasia always has the best marketing tools and fun packaging which is one of the reasons why I love their products so much. Being able to present your products in a way that some brands don't, definitely catches my eye.

I love this kit and I am a fan of the brow kit mostly. As I was writing this I was thinking this isn't a very universal brow palette, it being one color and all, but I think that's the point hence "Bold Brows"! Whether you have dark eyebrows or want that gorgeous, bold model brow, this palette in my opinion is very versatile and can be used by anyone.

The eye shadows are very simple and classy with two matte colors and two shimmers. I really love these colors and they all compliment each other so well. You can easily create a bold or natural look with these shades.

Love that the kit comes with mini tweezers! I am always losing tweezers!

The shadows don't have a name and are just numbered in the pamphlet.
