Wild Fox Couture La Femme Sunglasses

Gift, Affiliate links

I am so in love with these glasses. When I got them I thought, no way am I going to like these. But they really grew on me and now I am obsessed. There is something about the cat eye look that makes anyone look fierce! These are the same glasses that reality stars Kendall & Kylie Jenner wear as well.

These are very sturdy feeling and very firm. The arms don't bend too much which is a good thing. They are a tad tight on my head but I assume they will loosen up as time goes on. The lenses are very dark with total UV protection.

Laura Mercier Cheek Melange

Press Sample, Affiliate links

I have been so into cheek products this summer it's not even funny. My growing list of highlighters, bronzers and blushes is to large to count. This new Cheek Melange from the Sensual Reflections collection from Laura Mercier is all three pretty much. This versatil face product can be used on the eyes, cheeks and face.

When all three colors are used you pretty much have a light bronzy gold. You can also use your brush where the lighter colors are for a  lighter slight shimmery color. For the most part the colors are matte but they do give you that radiant look. The lighter colors do have a slight sheen to them too.

I am so loving this cheek melange and it has been in my everyday face routine since the day I got it. I really can't get enough of it!

Wet n Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain

I picked these up in my Walgreen's because they had a new tag on them, but looking around these babies have been out for months.

The three shades I have are:

Giving Realness- Pale nude
Legendary Face- Pink brown nude
Flawless-Bright pink-fuscia

Packaging:
I do like that the packaging is clear so you can see the product inside. The applicator is a very soft flexible sponge. The wand is very flexible almost making it a little difficult to apply.

Application:
Giving Realness goes on more creamy than the rest but leaving that milky look and it settled into my lines on my lips. It also has no color once on the lips. Legendray Face goes on very thin and wet feeling. Almost like I am not even applying anything at all. Color is gorgeous, brings out the natural color in my lips. Flawless also goes on very wet feeling, very pigmented and the most shiny out of these three.

Product:
I have to say that the feeling these have when being applied to the lips are really weird. It literally feels like you are rubbing water on your lips but then immediately dries and feels moisturizing. Giving Realness was the only terrible one for me. with no pigmentation and it settling in my lips. The product is very creamy once on the lips, almost like a lip balm. These have a very overpowering, unpleasant smell and taste. This is what makes it or breaks it for me. The smell is a very synthetic-plastic smell that I cannot get past.

Longevity:
Wear time for Flawless was about 4 hours with a lot of transfer. The shine was gone about an hour after but the stain remained. Legendary Face gave me about 3 hours of wear time, since it's not that pigmented it did fade a little faster. Giving Realness didn't even have a chance!

Pigmentation:
Swatching them on my arm they have amazing pigmentation, especially since I got two very light natural colors. But once on the lips the two lighter ones don't have the best pigmentation. Flawless definitely had really good color payoff.

Overall these are intended for shine and a stain. I think they are really shiny and moisturizing at first, but after a couple hours or so the shine does wear off. These do stain pretty well, although Giving Realness had no stain at all. For 3$ if you buy these they are not a total fail they do have a good selection of more colors, but I would not repurchase these again simply because of the smell and taste.

Guest Post: The ‘off season’ lip thing

The lipstick is like a magician to our lips. Within seconds it can transform our whole face into a different one. If you look at a picture taken by some Los Angeles advertising photographer of a hot girl with red lips, you instantly think that she’s a Vamp lady or a bad girl. If you see a blonde with pink lipstick on her lips, you think that she’s a total sweetheart…and so on. But what if I told that sometimes the ‘badest’ chick in your neighborhood can wear a baby pink lip gloss or no lipstick at all? The thing is that the pink lip gloss just fits her better.
The lipstick, just like some clothing is an ‘off season’ detail. Its actual goal is to match with the rest of your look. Depending on the color of your skin, hair and eyes, you have to choose a lipstick that makes you look awesome. You don’t need a complete explanation of the fact the cold shades( the violet spectrum) fit better pink and white complexions, while the warm shades(the red and orange spectrums) match the darker types. You can choose the color of your lipstick depending on the time of the day when you will wear it. From 9 am to 5 pm, the warm and creamy shades (natural colors close to pink and beige) will look better, especially in the cold light of the neon office. Because the evening light is discreet and silent, for the dinner, you can wear intense shades: dark burgundy for the natural redheads and blondes; brick red for the olive kind of skin of hot brunettes like Eva Longoria. The warm pink makes your lips look peaches, while the cold pink is almost purple. So when you’re not sure about what kind of pink fits you the best, try the transparent purple or the beige pink. These shades, if not too intense are welcomed by everybody. Also the light brown and generally, the nude shades with golden reflections are always perfect. The nude shades are the golden middle of the lipstick world. They go perfectly in the morning and in the evening, for the date and for the office meeting.
And also, never forget that the very shiny gloss and the glitter makeup should be kept exclusively for the evening.

New- Rimmel Scandal Eyes Rockin Curves Mascara Review

Press Sample

New to Rimmel is a a mascara dedicated to give you those big curvy lashes. Available in three shades this mascara retails around $5-7.

What they say
"Our first broken heart-shaped brush creates a fringe of big, curvy, rockin’ lashes. This cleverly-shaped applicator twists and curves to hug the lash line; the thin tip grabs hard-to-reach inner lashes, while the amplified base pulses lashes with incredible volume and curve. Lashes are plumped and lifted in one clean stroke."

The brush is supposedly shaped as a broken heart, I don't think it resembles that. It just looks somewhat of an "S" shape to me. But it does do well at hugging the lash line like it claims. When pulling the wand out I feel like it leaves a lot of product on the brush, I don't know if this is just my mascara or what. But I have to wipe some of it off on the edges of the tube and it usually is only on the backside of the curved part.

Gets really messy wiping product off on the tube.

When I applied one coat I got even application, no clumping and immediate volume at the root of my lashes. Second coat I could start to see more curves and length being added. My third coat my lashes were very volumized more than anything. I felt like the corner of the wand really helped with separation and getting in the inner corners of my eyes. I didn't have any clumping with this mascara, although the first time I applied I did. This could have been because of all the excess product on the brush that I did not wipe off.

Overall I really like this mascara. It helped more with length & volume than anything. It really volumizes from the base of your lashes which makes them look more full. It doesn't really flake or clump up as long as you remove the excess product. This for me isn't great for separating as much, and the formula is a bit heavy to hold a curl for me but overall I think this is great for volume and length!
