Favorite Essence Lipsticks for Fall/Winter

Press Sample//Affiliate links

For the past couple weeks I have been playing around with lipstick colors that I normally don't wear. These three from Essence literally have become a staple in my beauty routine, each one extremely pigmented and moisturizing.

In swatches Wear Berries picks up more pinky toned but it's a very muted plumy pink and perfect for winter! Dare to be Nude is my favorite nude at the moment, I love the more orange- toned nudes and on the lips it looks amazing! On the Catwalk is so rich and perfect for those who want a red lip without being so bold!

Lipstick Queen Red Carpet Edit Swatches

New for the Holidays from Lipstick Queen is the Red Carpet Edit featuring three gorgeous red lipsticks. As much as these three colors may look the same they are all unique and different.

What they say:

For the classic look, choose the creamily comfortable matte formula of Red Sinner, the ultimate true red. Prefer a more subtle look? Choose the sheer and moisturizing texture of Saint Red for a kiss of color on your lips. And finally there’s Red Metal for a mesmerising metallic effect that feels as good on the lips as it looks. With this wardrobe of classics you can wear any color, as long as it’s red
All enriched with nourishing natural oils and protective anti-oxidant Vitamin E, this hydrating trio will leaves lips soft, supple and deliciously moisturized.
This lipstick wardrobe is nestled within an exquisite red velvet gift box.

Red Sinner is a gorgeous red with a slight matte finish but still has some gloss to it. It was the most difficult to apply out of the three but has great color pay off. This one had the longest wear out of the three with 6 -7 hours of wear.

Red Metal has some gold metallic shimmer in it and is more of matte finish (im my opinion)  than Red Sinner. This one also has great color payoff. I got about 5 hours of wear with this shade.

Saint Red is a very sheer red and if you are scared to go straight for the bold red this may be a good start for you. For more pigmentation you really need to layer this one on but no doubt the color is very pretty. this one is also the most moisturizing out of the three. This shade only lasted about an hour or so before re application.

This kit has three great options for wearing red and Its a must have for the red lipstick junkies and also for beginners!

Just an added note these all look very shiny and more glossy in photos than they actually are.

Lush Snowman Shower Jelly Review

New to Lush for the holidays is the Snowman Shower Jelly and as a big fan of the jelly's this was a must have for me! This is limited edition so get it before the holidays are over!!

So as far as the scent, I love it, it actually smells like the Santa Scrub which is now discontinued! It has a very sweet carrot like smell with citrus. It is really hard to pinpoint but it smells wonderful. Shower jelly's are my favorite, so when I heard there was one the shape of a snowman I had to get it. The shape of him does make it extremely difficult to handle in the shower and he isn't that easy to break of little pieces either. Sadly my little guy broke right away after taking him out of the tub since they do fold him up in there.

I don't really notice shimmer either, I mean I see no glitter or shimmer for that matter. Unless they are talking about a luminous glow? Because I can kind of see where it does make your skin a bit more glowy.

You know I love my Lush products but unfortunately, this wasn't everything I'd hoped for but for the scent alone I would buy it again. But like I said it is very hard to handle because of it's shape and you might spend a lot of time chasing him in the shower if he slips out of your hands. Try freezing this one!!

This little guy is $6.95

Lush Christmas 2014 So White Shower Gel

My favorite thing about the holidays is going to Lush! I have all my family members hooked and it's what we all get each-other for x-mas! New this Christmas is So White Shower Gel along with 30 other products. Assuming it's named after Snow White because of it's fresh apple scent!

I have been going through Lush shower gels like crazy lately and I haven't found one that I am just drooling over. I will say Honey I washed the Kids was my favorite UNTILL I spilled it all over my overnight bag and since then the smell gets to me :( So now that I found So White I am definitely
buying in bulk for the rest of the year!

This shower gel is so fresh and I love the smell of anything apple plus you can use this all year long, its not a christmas-y scent that you only can use during the holidays! It is quite runny so be careful when using it!  I didn't even read that it had shimmer in it and I noticed it when I was taking pictures. The shimmer is very minimal and washes away mostly. Although it is new this year you may have heard the name before, it takes after the So White bath bomb! Don't let this one go away before you have tried it!!

Garnier Fructis: Damage Eraser Reconstructing Butter Review

I love hair products and as a hairstylist I am not against drugstore products either. Having said that Garnier has never really been a favorite of mine as far as shampoo & conditioner but when I saw this I had to pick it up. I have also had this since summer with every intention of reviewing, but here it is now.

What they say:
"The formula with Phyto-Keratin® complex, containing plant-based proteins and active fruit concentrate, and cupuaƧu butter, with natural lipids, works in two ways to strengthen and rejuvenate hair. 90% of Hair's Strength Reconstructed from Root to Tip* with this hair strengthening treatment for damaged hair. 3X the Damage Resistance.Grapefruit Antioxidant + Natural Protein. "

Quoted from the Garnier Website

I haven't tried too many hair masks or re-constructors from the drugstore this maybe my first that I can remember and its amazing! At first I was thinking it was going to be too thick on the hair leaving a residue behind but it does exactly the opposite. This stuff feels and smells so great! I usually leave it on for about 5 minutes concentrating on my midshaft to ends. I don't really put it at the roots so much. After I rinse it out my hair literally feels like buttery soft, smooth silk!! This stuff is incredible. No residue left behind, no waxy or silicone feeling on the hair once it is dried.

I just recently bleached my whole head to go light red and this has been my holy grail hair product this past few months. Styling my hair has never been better and I really don't need a ton of silkining mists or serums to style it after using this!
